Key Personnel

Edward C. Neill: Owner, President and CEO of Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. In 1972 he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is active in all operations and aspects of Neill Grading. Mr. Neill has over thirty years experience in the construction industry.

Jan C. Wilson: Vice-President and General Manager of Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. In 1972 he received his Degree in Geology from North Carolina State University. He has thirteen years field experience and twenty-one years management experience at Neill Grading. Mr. Wilson has maintained a State of North Carolina Plumbing License since 1977.

J. Clayton Neill: Vice-President and Professional Engineer at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. In 1996 he earned his Masters of Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. His experience includes four years with HDR Engineering. Clay has been employed with Neill Grading from 2000 until the present.

Michael S. Wilson:  Vice President & Project Manager at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. In 1998 he earned his bachelor of Business Administration from Mesa State College in Grand Junction Colorado. His most recent experience includes five years with Fowler Contracting in Cary, NC where he was Director of Project Management and specialized in 1,000+ lot master planned and mixed use communities. Prior experience also includes four years with Hillcrest Construction in Mooresville NC and two years with EF Craven Company in Greensboro NC.  Mike joined Neill Grading and Construction in early 2009.

Matthew R. Hovis: General Superintendent at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. Matthew’s experience includes over seven years in estimating and managing site construction projects. He is skilled in operating all types of machinery and equipment. He has been employed with our company for three years.

M. Scott Zanotti: Estimator and Project Manager at Neill Grading and Construction Co., Inc. Scott’s experience includes over 13 tears in the surveying and engineering industry. Scott’s most recent experience 8 years at Ferriero Engineering in Chester, NJ as the survey crew chief and 3 years at ESP Associates in Charlotte, NC as survey crew chief and later as field crew manager. Scott came to Neill Grading at the start of 2009 as a construction estimator and survey coordinator.  

Clarence E. Dillard:Job Foreman at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. He has thirty-five years experience at Neill Grading and is familiar with all phases of heavy equipment and operations. He is also very proficient with “GPS” Global Positioning

Lawrence O. Jewell:  Job Foreman at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. He has over twenty-six years experience at Neill Grading and specializes in water, sewer, drainage and related task.

Richard E. Ward: Job Foreman at Neill Grading & Construction Co., Inc. He has been with Neill Grading thirteen years and specializes in water and sewer projects. He also started as an equipment operator and assistant foreman and was promoted as a job foreman due to his abilities.
